Last year, the worldwide MeToo campaign was a shadow. It also had an impact on the Bollywood industry. The names of many big celebrities came to light who were accused of sexual harassment by women working with them.
Section 375 movie review
- Genre – Thriller
- Star Cast – Akshaye Khanne, Richa Chadha, Rahul Bhat, Meera Chopra
- Director – Ajay Bahl
- Rating – 3/5
One such case has been presented in the film section 375 brilliantly, but if you are already guessing the story, then this film will surely surprise you. The film’s climax will surprise you with stars like Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Rahul Bhatt and Meera Chopra.
What About the Story
A well-known Bollywood director is Rohan Khurana, who accuses his team’s junior costume assistant Anjali Damle (Meera Chopra) of rape. The police FIR is registered and the case goes to the sessions court. Based on the evidence, the judge convicts Rohan and sentenced him to 10 years. This decision is challenged in the High Court.
Tarun Saluja (Akshaye Khanna) who is a well-known lawyer and fights Rohan’s case. In the film, Richa Chadha plays Hiral Gandhi, who is playing the role of a public prosecutor. The story moves forward and both present their arguments and evidence in the court. Now, who wins in court, you have to watch the film.
How Actors Did Their Job
- In the film, a famous lawyer’s attitude is seen in Akshaye Khanna’s acting. He has played this character well.
- Apart from this, Richa Chadha is also looking good in the character of Advocate. The arguments and debate of both the stars in the court room is quite interesting.
- Apart from this, Meera Chopra and Rahul Bhatt have also done a great job.
Direction Is Also Commendable
Ajay Bahl directs section 375. The script of the film has been written in such a way that every next scene is eagerly awaited and you will want to know what will happen next. The director has directed the film very well. In most scenes of the film, only the court room is shown.
What About The Negative Points
This film may seem a bit overwhelming to the audience as the proceedings are going on in the court room throughout the film. That too close to the speaker, that is, equal to the drama.
The second thing that I do not consider to be a weakness, but still it is necessary to talk here from the perspective of the audience, some people may not like this film. This film is outside the league of Bollywood cinema, so some viewers may not get the entertainment they are in it.
The theme of this film is its quality and more than that, making a film about such a subject is also going against the Bollywood customs, that is, without the songs and aspects considered necessary for any hit film. Even more important thing is that like this, there have been many films in Bollywood, but this film has made it important.
Both Akshaye Khanna and Richa have played this film well on their shoulders. The screenplay of the film is tight, which does not let the film loose. The surreal scenes or songs do not impede the pace of the film, both writer Manish Gupta and director Ajay Bahl deserve praise for their work.
