Story of the Movie
The story of the film is based on the war in Saragarhi, which was fought on September 12, 1897. There were 21 Sikhs posted on an Army post, led by Havildar Ihsar Singh. Which was attacked by ten thousand Afghans. These 21 Sikhs together bravely fought the thousands of Afghans. In Kesari, Akshay is playing the character of Hav Ishar Singh. Parineeti Chopra is also seen in this.
What Goes Negative For Film-
The first half of the film was quite long. Most of the parts in it seemed to be such that they were forced to be penalized. In the film, many scenes have been filled up for no reason, but still it does not come up with any character other than Akshay Kumar’s character Ihshr Singh. Already knew about the story of the film, in which about 10 thousand Afghani attacks on a group of 21 Sikhs, but in the film it comes only shortly before Interval. It seems that 1 hour of start was wasted enough. First-half of the film can be bored to you.
Why Should You Watch This Movie
The real story begins with the second part of the film, in which the war of Sargari is shown. For this, the makers should be praised that they have shown the war instead of showing something else in Kesari’s second half. But First Half could be cut for 30 minutes, because he became very heavy for the film. In the second half of the film, the scenes of war were amazing. Action choreography has been done very well and action sequences are well-filmed.
Cinematography and The Other Points Of The Movie
- Kesari’s cinematography was quite beautiful, but seeing the scenes you will understand that it was mostly green screen. At the same time, the flaws of CGI are clearly visible during the blasts scene.
- The sword-killer scene also spotted many places. The makers needed to pay a little more attention to VFX.
- Editing of the movie was quite weak and the first half screen play was not something special The background score of the film was very good. Its texture is also excellent.
Performance of the Actors
If you talk about performance, then all the actors were fine, from foreigners to attacking Afghans and Sikh soldiers, but in all this Akshay Kumar was shining differently. Akshay was the life of the film and he was responsible for the whole film on his shoulder. His acting was tremendous. In the Fight Sequence, the annoyance of the invaders surrounded by the attackers was worth mentioning. If Parineeti Chopra talked about, she had a very small role in this film, but she did her role well.
Why Should You Watch The Movie
Apart from acting, after all the shortcomings, the film still holds you till the end. 21 Seeing the bravery and martyrdom of the Sikhs, water in your eyes will also come. At the end of the film, ‘Teri Mitti’ will give you a sense of patriotism.
And The Last Words
Overall, Kesari is a patriotic film, which has action along with emotions. You must watch this movie once.
