This movie is based on the true story of Dr Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras. He was engaged with his job as Marathi Professor at Aligarh University. Aligarh is a dare to narrate a sensitive story very carefully. And it’s great attempt left everyone just speechless. The story of this movie revolves around a gay professor. What happens when he is filmed in bed along with his male lover? And what sorts of phases in his life, he go through during his suspension, court battle to mysterious death. Hansal Mehta, director of this movie did excellent work. Saying would not be wrong that it’s captivating , fearless and heartbreaking movie. This movie stand fro the human rights. And the performance of Manoj Vajpayee is just marvellous.

It’s a great movie for the people who wish to know more about the society or wish to think from a different angle.

  • Be it writing, direction or the performance, everything is brilliant. And it’s hard to find out the loose points.
  • If you watched Manoj Vajpayee SWAMI, then Aligarh another movie which adds a milestone to his career. He performed his character in Aligarh magically and conveys the humiliation , loneliness and pain adroitly. It’s just outstanding. It‘s difficult to find the exact words which can explore how excellently he performed.

In a nutshell, Aligarh depicts beautifully this remarkable quote “ The eyes of others our prisons, their thoughts our cages”. So, what are you waiting for? This weekend you may go for watching Aligarh if hold interest to know something unique.
