Take Iron-rich diet

The most common cause of low hemoglobin level is iron deficiency. Iron is a main content of hemoglobin, deficiency of iron affects the production of hemoglobin. Eating Iron rich diet can help you to overcome from iron deficiency. You can add iron rich food like almonds, dates, red meat, oysters, spinach to your diet. You can also consult doctor for iron supplements but keep in mind to take the prescribed dose else it can harm your body.


It is the good source of iron, calcium, protein, fiber and carbohydrates. You can eat it raw or you can go with pomegranate juice daily in breakfast.  Alternatively, you can add 2 teaspoons of dried pomegranate seed powder in a glass of luke warm milk. You can roast or steam beetroot and peel them before eating. You can also make juice of beetroots with carrots and sweet potato.

Vitamin-C plays vital role in fully absorption of Iron by body. Deficiency of Vitamin-C can also lead to low hemoglobin level. But it can easily cure by eating Vitamin-C enrich diet like oranges, lemon, peppers, broccoli, grapefruit, tomatoes, spinach etc. You can also take Vitamin-C pills with the advice of doctor.

An apple a day

“An apple a day keeps doctors away” we all heard this phrase. An Apple contains enough iron to maintain ideal hemoglobin level. Not only this, it also contains various nutrients which helps in healthy hemoglobin count. You can prepare apple and beetroot juice dink this juice once daily. Green apple is considered to be more benefits in maintaining healthy level of hemoglobin in comparison of normal apple, so for green apples.
