  • Adhar Devi Temple – This stunning temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. Adhar Devi Temple situated 3km away from Mount Abu. Durign Navratri, a number of people come to visit this temple. Since it established in a cave and you have to clime around 365 steps.
  • Doodh Baori – it’s situated adjacent to Adhar Devi Temple. It’s kind of very auspicious and sacred well having auspicious water. The colour of water is similar to milk and that’s why it’s called Doodh Baori.
  • Gaumukh Temple – This temple is dedicated to Saint Vashishtha. It’s believed that he performed Yogna at the same place. And that’s why temple has been established at this place.

  • Sher E Punjab – it’s one of the local eatery and foodies must not skip this place. Here, you can taste a number of sweet dishes and desserts like Dhaba Gosht, Kadai Chicken, Chicken 65, butter chicken etc. at reasonable price. Whether you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian, it caters for both.
  • Boating – Don’t forget to do boating in Nakki Lake. It will take you to another world. Boating will take your tension and frustration away.

FAIR AND FESTIVALS

  • Gangaur Festivals – Like other states of Rajasthan, Gangaur festival is also famous in Mount Abu. This festival is celebrated between the months of March-April. During this festival, Goddess Parvati is worshipped. Married women and unmarried girl perform this puja.
  • Summer Festival – It’s a three-day festival, which is organised by Rajasthan Tourism and Municipal Board of Mount Abu. A number of cultural programmes are performed during this festival. This festival is kicked off with a procession which starts from RTDC hotel shikhar and gets end at Nakki Lake Chowk.
  • Winter Festival – It’s also a three-day festival organise in December. Various types of sports are organised like Kite-flying, hair ballooing etc. Apart from it, various culture programmes are also performed.

HOW TO REACH

  • By Rail – Mount Abu is well connected by train routes to other major cities like Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur. The nearest railway station situated 28 km away.
  • By Air – If you are looking for air service then you can go ahead as the nearest airport is Udaipur. Apart from it, Ahmedabad is another option but it located 221 km from Mount Abu. For better connectivity and daily flights, Ahmedabad emerges first.
  • By Road –  You can also reach Mount Abu by road as it’s connected with major cities of the country. Nearest national highway no. 14 located just 24 KM’s.
